Elly’s relaxed and interactive webinar aims to empower participants to go ahead and confidently create an LGBT+ inclusive environment for all ages. Getting the language wrong in a boarding context can ostracise young people and families from your school. Indeed, your school website and prospectus are the first window to your school and therefore having the language right from the get go is imperative for recruitment and inclusion as a whole.

Staff should attend this training to ensure that we are using accepted language for 2020 onwards, underpinned with increased knowledge of the law and subject knowledge. Elly will endeavour to provide a deeper understanding of gender, gender identity and sexual orientation and why it is necessary to incorporate into the curriculum and wider school life.

Attendees will leave with renewed confidence in their understanding and use of LGBT+ terminology and inclusive language.
