Dame Vicki is a skilled educator, teacher, Headteacher and Executive Head with 40 years experience of working in schools.
She created and lead a truly collaborative and formal Federation of three inner London Primary Schools under a single governing body, one of the first Federations of its kind. She was recognised by the National College of School Leaders as a National Leader in Education. In 2013 she was awarded the title of Dame of the British Empire in the New Year Honours for Services to Education.
Dame Vicki is also a trustee of Challenge Partners (www.challengepartners.org) a practitioner-led charity which enables collaboration between schools to enhance the life chances of all children, especially the most disadvantaged.
She is a long-standing supporter of Educate & Celebrate and under her leadership all three of her schools achieved the ‘Educate & Celebrate Best Practice Award’ in recognition of their inclusive policies, practices and curriculum. She has a strong commitment to creating inclusive organisations, the celebration of diversity and the importance of equality of opportunity.
