Policy Guidance Our aim is to reassure all those who work in education that they are backed up by both Government and school legislation to be LGBT+ inclusive. Key policies for intervention are: Equal Opportunities Uniform Inclusion Anti-Bullying Relationships & Sex Education (Healthy Relationship Education) We have example policies for you in our Premium Resources area, which you can access when you become a member. These policies are designed for you to edit and fit with your school vision and branding. They are all suitable for both Primary and Secondary schools.
When we deliver a staff meeting for you, we give you further advice on how to update these policies.
There is also a section dedicated to policy in our book How to transform your school into an LGBT+ friendly place: A practical guide for nursery, primary and secondary teachers.
The purpose of the Policy is to support transgender and gender- questioning learners, staff members and wider stakeholders and to prevent transphobia in our school.
